About A Newborn Care Specialist (Baby Nurse)


A Newborn Care Specialist (Baby Nurse) is a Post Delivery Assistant - someone who takes care of Newborn Babies and help parents into a smooth transition with their new baby.  A Newborn Care Specialist (Baby Nurse) helps ensure that babies get on a regular schedule for feeding, sleeping etc. to fit into the family's routine.  Will work 24/7 or hourly with daily rates and hourly rates.


A Newborn Care Specialist (Baby Nurse) is not a Registered Nurse (RN).  


A Newborn Care Specialist (Baby Nurse) will wake the baby to feed when necessary and will rest when the baby is asleep.


Duties and responsibilities of a Newborn Care Specialist (Baby Nurse) includes but are not limited to:


DUTIES:


-          Help nurture and care for baby

-          Singletons and Multiples
-          Night and day duties
-          Establish healthy sleeping habits

-          Baby Sleep Trainer (Sleep Coach)
-          Respond to baby needs
-          Assist mother with breast feeding
-          Circumcision care
-          Acid reflux care
-          Swaddling
-          Umbilical cord care
-          Bathing baby
-          Bottle feeding baby
-          Cleaning baby bottles
-          Burping baby
-          Baby blues
-          Sleeping through the night training
-          Soothing techniques
-          Taking care of baby's laundry
-          Get baby on a feed and sleep schedule to fit into family's routine
-          Provide comfort and assurance for parents
-          Understand and assist with postpartum depression
-          Communicate with parents daily concerning baby's feed, sleep and behavior pattern
-          Help guide and educate parents about newborn babies
-          Diapering
-          Sponge bathing
-          Take care of nursery
-          Assist in a smooth transition into parenthood and other duties that relates to the baby
